DIALOG
The Arthur Meighen Building Rehabilitation (AMBR)has been selected by the CaGBC as one of 16 buildings in Canada to participate in a pilot project of the new Zero Carbon Building initiative. This 10-storey building was originally built in the 1950s and a recent feasibility study on it, determined that the current building’s greenhouse gas emissions could be reduced by over 80% through deep-energy retrofits such as geothermal heating and photo-voltaic panels to the building envelope and systems. The AMBR is targeting LEED® Gold and WELL Silver certifications.
